Vicki Winslow grew up and studied writing in North Carolina. Her book for middle readers, Follow the Leader, won Bantam Doubleday Dell Books for Young Readers’ Marguerite de Angeli Prize in 1995. Her novella, The Conversion of Jefferson Scotten, appeared in Meat and Potatoes, a collection of three novellas published by Short Sharp Shock (July 2011).
